Test
We’ve tested the ExpressVPN speed on our standard connection in the Netherlands. To be honest, the results did blow our mind as we did not expect the speeds to remain almost exactly the same when using a VPN. (See picture below)
When switching to a VPN in our country, there was no noticeable difference in ping, download and upload speed. Our ping and download/upload speed did take a hit when we switched to VPN servers in countries further away from our physical location.

Using ExpressVPN in the same country we could browse the internet without a noticeable delay.
Gaming, watching Netflix and downloading torrents was no problem at all.
When we switched to Germany, we could also stream, download and game without any noticeable delay.
We were also surprised to see such high download and upload speeds when using a VPN server location in Russia and the United States.
